Smaller hotels can be found at good locations offering clean and comfortable rooms, with fax services and long distance dialing and a small coffee shop and restaurant.

One who looks for high class, five star hotels with full business centers, Internet access, sports facilities, swimming pool and other amenities will find his treat as well. 

Some of the hotels are even linked or located aside of large shopping malls, allowing convenient and secure shopping explorations.

Resorts with comfortable accommodation can be found plentiful throughout the country and provides service and peace of mind for the tourists simply seeking relaxation, exploring the country or enjoying the vast under water wild life of the coastline.

According to the classification of the Department of Tourism there are following categories: economy, standard, first class and deluxe hotels.

The base for this classification are type of accommodation, food & beverage, services, room rates and sport facilities.

For resorts the following classifications are set: Special Interest Resort (SIR), A, double A (AA) and triple A (AAA).

The tourism department has a "Homestay" Program in 15 destination outside Manila. The program offers visitors the comfort of modest homes and an insight into Philippine live.
